Cardiac Catheterization Centre

Diagnostic investigations in the cardiac catheterization unit :
Diagnostic angiography for coronary artery and post-heart artery transplants, as well as peripheral arteries.
Diagnostic Right and Left Heart Cardiac Catheterization to measure the pressures.
Assess the degree and nature of atherosclerosis via Intracardiac echocardiography.

Treatments

Interventional treatment in the cardiac catheterization unit :
Vasodilation of the coronary artery and implanted arteries by balloons and stents - third generation.
Vasodilation of the artery causing acute Myocardial infarction using stents as a first-line treatment and without giving anti-clotting medication.
Coronary Atherectomy to facilitate vasodilatation.
Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump Therapy for circulatory failure and heart attacks.
Pericardiocentesis in case it hinders the heart's movement/function and examine the causes of its formation.
Temporary pacemaker for Bundle branch block.
Permanent pacemaker for heart block that is considered dangerous for the patient's life.
Implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) for arrhythmias that may lead to sudden death.
Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy (CRT) in cases of non-responsive Cardiomyopathy to medications and interventional treatment.
